Another Photoshoped angel

Okay, there’s an interesting story behind this one, but I’m sure you’d rather not hear it. I wouldn’t even use this one if I didn’t find the perspective of it so interesting and difficult. This perspective forces you to draw what you see, not what you think you “should” see. A lot of times when I draw something, I know how it is supposed to look, so I can draw it off of proportions I know to be true, and linear perspective, but this is very different.

I thought I’d do some work with one of my hand drawn images in Photoshop. It can out okay, but not great.

I took the angel today a step further. I feels good to slow down again.
Now that I’ve reached a pretty substantial number of pieces on the site, I’ve made an addition to the homepage. I’ve added a mosaic of thumbnails of everything I’ve uploaded. It’s a very cool way to look at it all. There’s a random preview version of it on the homepage, but then there’s the mosaic with everything uploaded here. Let me know what you think!

I’m back to the line drawing style. I think I’m going to do something with this one for a few day. It’s based off a Christmas ornament.

There are some proportion problems with this one, but that’s part of the learning process when I’m trying to teach myself to draw more freely.

A no subject figure study

Yup, still on animals.

I guess after the turtle, I’m on a animal kick. It might not last.
