Day 45 – Sucker

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

Happy Halloween! The last time I drew a piece of candy, it got a pretty good response, so I thought I’d do another. I don’t think this one came out as good as the last, but it’s still good. It also might be because I just like peanut butter candy better than suckers.

Day 44 – Abe Revisted

Friday, October 30th, 2009

I know this isn’t a complete new piece, but I do like the idea of drawing over printing. It’s a lot like the ink printing I did over the hand printing pieces I did earlier.

Day 43 – Sleep

Friday, October 30th, 2009

I know this sketch is late, and I know it sucks, but it illustrates what I want to do right now. Tomorrow you get something good again.

Day 42 – Man With Beard

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

I think the image I was basing this off of was Darwin, but the image went to far off of the original, that I don’t feel comfortable calling it after him. I am enjoying drawing from old photos though.

Day 41 – Pear Cat

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

I apologize, I was out most of the evening, and tired all night. I got the idea for this one from noticing the very pear shape of our sitting cat Elling

Day 40 – Pumpkins

Monday, October 26th, 2009

Well, today is my birthday, so I’m going to kinda cheat today, and say that my art for the day is the pumpkins I designed and carved. It’s creation baby!

Day 39 – Black and White Lincoln

Sunday, October 25th, 2009

I know that this on is more simple than previous prints I did, but this one in on a plastic fabric. This is one that is better seen in person, because of the texture.

Day 38 – Finding lunch

Saturday, October 24th, 2009

I’ve had a big day, and not a lot of time, so you get a quick humorous sketch today. Yay!

Day 37 – Iron

Friday, October 23rd, 2009

I don’t have a lot of time to work on the drawing today, and my wife is sewing, so yeah, an iron. Enjoy!

Day 36 – Brig. Gen. Montgomery C. Meigs

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

I need to get back in the practice of doing figure drawing, and doing it with ink is a hoot. This one turned out pretty good, other than the body isn’t as thin as it should be. Not bad for a 15-20 minute drawing.
